About Jobs with Justice . Our mission is to protect and advance the right to organize, defend the living standards of working people, fight for job security and safe working conditions, and support contract campaigns and strikes. We participate in struggles for living wage jobs, fair trade and immigrant rights, and against privatization, globalization and inhumane workfare programs. Jobs with Justice opposes racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, anti-Semitism and other forms of religious and cultural bigotry, and will actively support struggles against any form of discrimination. Membership . Our membership includes both organizations and individuals. See Coalition Partners. . Individual members choose to what level they participate in the work of Jobs with Justice. Some are very involved, attending each monthly steering committee meeting, educating the community, planning strategic action, and showing up at meetings and rallies. Others simply ask to be receive timely information and periodic action alerts. .
Leadership Team . Central Oregon Jobs with Justice is lead by a Steering Committee, elected for two-year terms. Elections are held in February of even-numbered years. Monthly meetings are open to all JwJ members and others having business before the board. For information, contact us: .
National Jobs with Justice . Central Oregon Jobs with Justice is part of a national support network for workers’ rights. In addition to local campaigns, we participate in nationally-coordinated activities and support Jobs with Justice coalitions throughout the U.S. National Jobs with Justice website. |
